Standing with Communities When Crisis Strikes

Disaster relief and seasonal aid initiative in India

Natural disasters and extreme weather conditions don't just damage infrastructure; they upend lives, leaving thousands of families without the basic necessities for survival. The Charanvandan Foundation is committed to being on the front lines, providing immediate disaster relief and seasonal aid to the most vulnerable regions of India.

Our mission is driven by a simple, urgent goal: to provide essential support to communities during their most vulnerable moments, ensuring that help reaches those in the most challenging locations.

Guided by Valor: Our Ex-Army Volunteer Network

What sets our relief operations apart is the leadership behind them. Our teams are guided by Ex-Army personnel who serve as volunteers and advisors. Their expertise in logistics, discipline, and navigating difficult terrains allows us to:

Reach Remote Areas

Accessing difficult locations where assistance is often delayed or unavailable.

Conduct Organized Relief

Ensuring efficient, disciplined, and well-managed relief distribution during emergencies.

Manage High-Pressure Situations

Assessing and responding to crisis conditions with precision and calm leadership.

Emergency Response: From Uttarakhand to Bihar

India’s geography makes it prone to diverse disasters, from cloudbursts in the Himalayas to devastating floods in the plains. We have been active in several critical relief operations:

1

Flood Relief in Punjab, UP, and Bihar

When the monsoon turns destructive, our teams mobilize to provide food, clean drinking water, and medicines to families stranded by rising waters.

2

Himalayan Crisis: Uttarakhand Relief

From the Warmth for Dharali campaign following cloudbursts to navigating landslide-prone zones, we bring hope to those isolated by the mountains’ fury.

3

Post-Disaster Rehabilitation

Relief doesn't end when the water recedes. We support communities during the rehabilitation phase, helping them rebuild their lives and livelihoods.

Seasonal Aid: Protecting Lives from Extreme Weather

Disasters aren't always sudden; sometimes, they are seasonal. The extreme climate of North India poses a significant threat to homeless individuals, pilgrims, and daily wage workers.

1

Winter Blanket Distribution

Every year, the cold wave in Northern India claims lives. We distribute over 4,000 blankets annually across Varanasi, Prayagraj, and the foothills of Uttarakhand so the elderly and homeless can survive harsh winter nights.

2

Summer Relief Drives

During peak summer heatwaves, our volunteers organize large-scale drinking water distribution drives, rehydration support, and essential relief for pilgrims and outdoor workers.

3

Ready-to-Act Support

Seasonal preparedness helps us act faster, ensuring vulnerable communities receive support before conditions become life-threatening.

Your Support Saves Lives

Disaster relief is a race against time. Your contributions allow us to maintain a ready-to-act fund, ensuring that when the next crisis hits, we don't have to wait to start saving lives.

₹500 Can provide high-quality blankets for multiple people in winter.
₹2,000 Can provide an emergency ration kit for a flood-affected family.
₹5,000 Helps fund logistics for reaching remote disaster zones in the mountains.
At the Charanvandan Foundation, we believe that standing together in times of crisis is the ultimate act of humanity.

Join the Mission of Compassion

Whether it’s providing a blanket in the dead of winter or food during a flood, your generosity fuels our movement and helps us stand with communities when they need us most.
