Charanvandan works as a crowdfunding and fundraising platform that connects donors, NGOs, societies, trusts, and individual beneficiaries. Our purpose is simple yet powerful — to bridge the gap between compassion and action, ensuring that resources reach those who need them the most.
This Terms of Use outlines how our services operate, the legal framework we follow, the commitments we make to donors and NGOs, and the expectations from users of our platform.
2. About Charanvandan Foundation
Charanvandan Foundation is a registered Section 8 Non-Profit Company, dedicated to enabling impact-driven fundraising for social, cultural, religious, and humanitarian causes.
We operate with three core pillars:
- Transparency – ensuring that every donation is accounted for and transferred to the intended cause.
- Trust – by carefully vetting campaigns, NGOs, and projects before publishing them.
- Technology for Good – using an easy-to-use online platform to make donations seamless and accessible worldwide.
Our focus areas include:
- Healthcare & Medical Aid: Supporting critical treatments, surgeries, and health-related needs.
- Education & Child Welfare: Sponsoring school fees, learning resources, and skill development.
- Religious & Cultural Causes: Supporting pujas, temple services, community rituals, and preservation of traditions.

3. Legal Status & Compliance
Charanvandan Foundation is incorporated as a Section 8 Company under the Companies Act, 2013, which means:
- It is a non-profit entity.
- All funds raised are used strictly for charitable and social purposes.
We comply with:
- Income Tax Act, 1961 provisions relevant to charitable organizations.
- Companies Act, 2013 requirements for Section 8 entities.
- CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) guidelines where applicable.
- IT Rules & Data Protection laws to safeguard donor and beneficiary data.
This ensures that every donation made via Charanvandan Foundation is handled with integrity, legality, and accountability.
4. Role of Charanvandan
Charanvandan acts as a facilitator between donors and beneficiaries. Our role is to:
- Provide a secure and transparent platform for donations.
- Vet and verify campaigns before publishing.
- Transfer donations (after deducting applicable charges) to the respective NGO/beneficiary.
- Offer regular updates and impact reports to donors.
- Provide NGOs with technology, marketing, and donor engagement support.
We are not:
- Responsible for the day-to-day activities of listed NGOs.
- Liable for false information provided by a campaign organizer (though we take stringent verification steps).
- A financial advisor — donors must exercise discretion before contributing.
5. Donations & Financial Flow
5.1 How Donations Work
- Donors select a campaign on our website.
- Payment can be made through multiple modes (UPI, Net Banking, Debit/Credit Cards, Wallets, etc.).
- Funds are collected in Charanvandan Foundation’s designated account.
- After necessary deductions (platform charges, taxes, and marketing costs), the funds are transferred to the intended NGO/beneficiary.
5.2 Applicable Deductions
We believe in complete transparency. Charanvandan may deduct:
- Service Charges – for technology, payment gateway, and platform management.
- Marketing Charges – for promoting campaigns, ads, and outreach.
- Taxes – as mandated by the Government of India.
In campaigns initiated directly by Charanvandan, we may act as the end beneficiary.
6. Donor’s Rights & Responsibilities
6.1 Rights
- Receive transparent information on how your donation is utilized.
- Request updates on the campaign you supported.
- Expect that your donation is transferred to the correct beneficiary.
- Receive acknowledgment receipts for your contributions.
6.2 Responsibilities
- Donations made are voluntary and non-refundable (except in cases of verified fraud).
- Donors must provide accurate details for receipts.
- International donors must comply with FCRA guidelines (where applicable).
7. NGO & Beneficiary’s Responsibilities
- All information provided must be authentic, verifiable, and legal.
- Proper documentation (registration, ID proofs, medical papers, project details, etc.) must be submitted.
- NGOs must agree to utilize funds strictly for the purpose mentioned in the campaign.
- Regular updates and impact proofs must be shared with the Foundation and donors.
8. Refund & Cancellation Policy
- Donations once made are non-refundable.
- In rare cases of campaign termination due to fraud/misuse, refunds may be initiated after internal review.
- If donations cannot be transferred due to unforeseen legal restrictions, the funds may be redirected to a similar charitable cause, with donor consent where possible.
9. Privacy & Data Protection
- Charanvandan respects your privacy.
- Donor and beneficiary data is collected only for campaign and compliance purposes.
- Data is never sold or misused for commercial gain.
- We use secure payment gateways and encryption to protect transactions.
10. Limitation of Liability
While Charanvandan takes all reasonable steps to verify campaigns and ensure secure donations, we are not liable for:
- Misrepresentation by NGOs/individual beneficiaries.
- External frauds or scams outside our platform.
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our platform.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
