Build a Safe Home for Gau Mata in Tirunelveli
Help Us Expand the Gaushala and Protect 600+ Street Cows from Suffering
🐄 When the Streets Become Unsafe, Gau Mata Needs a Home
In the sacred land of Tirunelveli, hundreds of cows wander the streets every day — hungry, injured, and vulnerable.
They survive among speeding vehicles, plastic waste, harsh weather, and human neglect. Many are abandoned after they stop giving milk.
Some suffer injuries, fractures, or illnesses with no one to care for them.
For years, our Gaushala has been a place of refuge for these helpless cows. But today, the number has grown beyond capacity.
With more than 600 rescued cows, our existing Gaushala has become too small. Space is limited. Resources are stretched.
Yet, every new cow that arrives brings another silent plea for shelter, care, and dignity.
This is why we are expanding our Gaushala — so that no Gau Mata is left to suffer on the streets.
🕉️ Why Protecting Cows Is a Sacred Duty
In Sanatan Dharma, the cow is not just an animal — she is Gau Mata, the embodiment of compassion, abundance, and motherhood.

📖 Scriptural Reference
The Skanda Purana states: “Gavah sarva-sukha-pradah” — the cow bestows all forms of happiness.
The Mahabharata also mentions: “One who protects cows protects Dharma itself.”
Serving cows is considered equal to serving all Devas. Providing shelter to Gau Mata brings peace, prosperity, and protection to one’s family and future generations.
When you help build a Gaushala, you build a temple of compassion.
🌿 Why Expansion of the Gaushala Is Urgently Needed
Our earlier Gaushala was built with limited resources and fewer rescues in mind. Over time:
- The number of rescued cows crossed 600+
- Many cows require medical attention and recovery space
- Pregnant and injured cows need separate enclosures
- Overcrowding affects hygiene and overall well-being
Without expansion, it becomes increasingly difficult to provide every cow with the care she deserves.
The new Gaushala expansion will ensure:
- Open, ventilated shelters
- Separate areas for injured, sick, and pregnant cows
- Safe resting spaces away from roads and plastic waste
- Regular feeding and clean water access
- Veterinary care and long-term protection
This expansion is not a luxury — it is a necessity to save lives.
🐄 What the Expanded Gaushala Will Provide
With your support, the expanded Gaushala in Tirunelveli will include:

- Protection from heat, rain, and cold
💊 Medical & Healing Care

- First aid and treatment for injured cows
- Recovery space for rescued and abandoned cattle
🌾 Nutrition & Daily Care
- Regular fodder and clean drinking water

🛡️ Protection from Mishaps

- Safe enclosure away from traffic
- Prevention of plastic ingestion
Every brick laid will become a shield of safety for Gau Mata.
💔 “They Are Left on the Streets When They Stop Being Useful”
A caretaker at the Gaushala shared:
“Zyada tar gaaye tab chhod di jaati hain jab doodh dena band ho jaata hai. Par unki bhookh aur dard tab bhi wahi hota hai.”
These cows have served humans all their lives. Now, it is our turn to serve them.
🌼 Why Your Contribution Matters
Your support will directly help:
- Expand shelter capacity for 600+ cows
- Save injured and abandoned cows from suffering
- Maintain a long-term, sustainable Gaushala
- Uphold a sacred responsibility mentioned in our scriptures
Donating to a Gaushala is believed to remove obstacles (Gau Seva Dosha Nivaran), bring peace and stability to the household,
accumulate lifelong punya, and please Lord Krishna, who is known as Gopal — the protector of cows.
🙏 Join Hands to Build a Haven for Gau Mata
This Gaushala expansion cannot happen without collective support. It is a shared responsibility — of faith, humanity, and Dharma.
Let your contribution become: shelter for the homeless, medicine for the injured, food for the hungry, and protection for the helpless.
Support the Gaushala. Protect Gau Mata. Preserve Dharma.
